Partnership and Planting Mangrove Seeds as Momentum to Celebrate World Mangrove Day [Planet Positives]

Recently our volunteers reported their participation in partnership activities with local government agencies and NGOs. Please note, @steemforsdgs is always open to all organizers and youth communities. @steemforsdgs has also successfully established partnerships with local NGOs.

Partnership with local NGOs as one of our efforts to encourage more volunteers. This also includes building networks and expanding partnerships to achieve campaign objectives. Collaborating with local NGOs certainly has a positive enough impact to achieve our vision and mission. Indirectly this will also encourage our promotional activities.

Local NGOs have a high level of interest, trust and integrity from the local population. This is the key to bringing the STEEM for SDGs project to be more popular and known by the public, especially local residents and the global community. That way, it will be easier for us to carry out the program in the field because we have established partnerships and have a positive impact on humanity and this beautiful earth.

This is a report from our volunteers who have recently successfully participated in mangrove planting activities. This mangrove planting project was carried out in collaboration with government agencies and local NGOs. This activity was carried out in a coastal area in Syamtalira Bayu District, North Aceh Regency. The target of planting mangroves is in rivers and irrigation sources that are directly connected to the coast in the area.

There are about 1000 mangrove seedlings planted in the area. The mangrove, which has a height of about 50-60 CM, is planted on the support of pieces of bamboo. The bamboos that have been cut into small pieces are used to support the mangrove seedlings.

The support is useful for protecting the mangrove seedlings from the waves and protecting them from growing quickly upwards. The weather looked very bright so that it supported the implementation of this mangrove seed planting event. These mangrove seeds are purchased from a special place in the Bireun district.

Mangrove seedlings are transported using a pickup truck. Our volunteers also took part in the group's car. The distance from the center of the District to this location is about 2 Kilometers.

This area is also one of ecotourism located in North Aceh district. On holidays and special moments, this beach is very much visited by tourists both from local and from outside the region. The growth of development and sustainable management of coastal ecosystems/biota will continue to have an impact on economic growth in this region.

July 26 is a very sacred day for environmental activists. Especially for our community of crypto, humanitarian and environmental activists. 26 July is the moment to commemorate World Mangrove Day.

A number of communities and environmental activists carried out mangrove planting actions simultaneously on this date. This action is a form of warning to continue to encourage more positive actions in protecting the population and the planet. Humans as part of this universe must be more aware of the importance of maintaining the population and commemorating the impactful and historic environmental days.

This warning was originally launched in 2015 by UNESCO. UNESCO seeks to encourage more positive action to become a mangrove population. This is also a form of campaign to reject the logging of mangroves that is lively and destroys the order of the earth.

With this mangrove planting action, it is hoped that it can raise public awareness to manage the mangrove ecosystem in a sustainable manner. This commemoration is an important moment for environmental activists around the world. No exception, this is also done by our volunteers who take place in the local area.

Mangrove planting is carried out in coastal areas, swamps, and streams adjacent to the coast or in the estuary of rivers. Mangroves are very useful for human life and have an impact on marine life. We are truly delighted that our volunteers can participate in this wonderful project.

Mangroves can support fisheries and aquaculture in the vicinity. Of course, other benefits that can be enjoyed from mangroves are preventing erosion and coastal abrasion and being a source of life for marine ecosystems. From a scientific and research perspective, mangroves can also play a role in filtering waste naturally.

In addition to protecting against climate change, the mangrove ecosystem can also support economic growth. This will have a financial impact on the jobs and livelihoods of fishermen and fisheries activists. Let's grow the spirit and awareness to protect our earth.
