I'm sure that a lot of us have vital information on your laptop or PC that if there is a hack on your machine, you may stand a chance to get your data stolen and what would be worst is to have your sensitive data stolen.

Some of the ways of gaining access to your laptop/pc could be by opening an email which downloads so scripts to your computer, or even going to a website and accidentally download something to your computer which makes it vulnerable to hackers.

So instead of quickly googling up and buying a 3rd party application to check, why not use the one which was provided by Microsoft and should come togather with Windows 8 onwards.

The tool is called Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool ( MRT for short )

To run it, you can just click on the bottom right search bar and type MRT

Then click open, you will then see the screen below.

All you then need to do is to follow the wizzard and start scanning your machine. If you are running it for the first time, make sure you do a full scan.

If it does find any malicious software running, it should be able to clean it as you would get a summary towards the end of the scan. A scan can take anywhere from a few mins to a few hours depending on the PC you have.

At least with the scan done, you can see what kind of malicious software is on your machine feeding data to someone else. Idealy you want to have a clean machine, however if there are just too much, I would suggest to do a clean reset of your Windows.

Remember, this is not an antivirus product and you may either use the one that comes with Windows or get one from a trusted virus protection application provider such as Avast, Norton, or even Trend Micro.

Do your due dilligence before getting an antivirus software as there are many out there and some may not be as effective as it claims.

Cheera dn stay safe !!! Have an amazing day ahead
