All is dry in winter time.steemCreated with Sketch.

There is always, always something shoot. You just have to look around a bit.
The park we often go to to catch some macro shots is basically very small pine forest with some nice paths for people to jog, lots bushes and wildflower. In spring and early summer it all looks quite spectacular.
But last month, as we went there to see what is happening there was hardly anything. Few single flowers, some mushrooms, lichens and all the drying and dying plants and leaves.
That's ok - I can shoot those :)

I would love to see the bush above *no clue what it is) in bloom too. I can only imagine tons of small flowers looking at you from the tops of those very skinny twigs. The leaves stay green it seems.

Just like the Erica below. Those are also flower leftovers that didn't drop yet. They will before new growths and flowers show up. And those I know exactly when will bloom, so I will definitely go and shoot again some lovely, little, lilac bells. They are stunning. And since it is warmer (around March-April) they will be able so bees and butterflies around them.

On a way back I spotted one, lost butterfly warming up on not too hot yet sun.

This is how the place looks like now. Most of the bushes around is Erica/Heater that bloom in lilac and pink, Ulex with the bright yellow flowers and some white ones that pop here and there.
Not much happening now, but when the right time comes I will be able to spend hour and hours walking around between the blooming bushes and enjoying the tall pines, birds and bugs.

A dried out snail paradise? I wonder where they go in the winter.

No clue.. but I see snail shells high on the plants stems. Most of them is empty though. Just sitting there.

They probably just lay eggs and only live one year.

It could be... I never thought of that.

I've seen them seal themselves into their shells too. Maybe they bury themselves and seal up the opening for winter.

That I have seen too. But why on top of the plants where they can be easily spotted by birds?
