It would be great in theory, just to take responsibility of every aspect of your life, but the reality is that not all people are going to act the way you do. They are not educated enough and in fact they don't want to get educated. They want a no-brainer belief just to justify their act.

Imagine if everyone put away heir religions, most of them would probably kill themselves knowing that life is meaningless and nothing really matters. Many others start trying to take power and start creating cults. Human animal has a very vicious side that can be very horrifying in absence of common interest with others. Prophets were the people who tried to make these people united in one way or other based of the present circumstances. The core messages are very helpful but unfortunately the next leaders got to start manipulating them for their interests.
I'm very optimistic about what block-chain is about to offer but it's very difficult to say that people are going to drop their religion and personally talking, I don't think they will.
