Loved the Scooby analogy as well as your not sugarcoating the situation like some have. SunnyBoy doesn't seem to have many vocal, hardcore followers, but I do run into them here and there — and I need content like this article as an antidote before dying of sheer disgust.

Yeah, I didn't know the term for these kids, but I am pretty sure @mobbs is correct that he is one of them. I have met this type before IRL a couple times... similar traits.

There's another type that has a similar outcome he could be, called 暴发户 (bao fa hu), essentially Nouveau riche.
Basically, an uncivilized sociopath who acquired a lot of money suddenly, none of which was acquired through genuine business acumen. They hold the belief that money can basically do everything from finding love to circumventing the law and painting them as a savior of the world in the public eye.
The 'genuine' rich look down on them ss they clearly demonstrate no professionalism or appreciation for their new social status.
Kind of like a hillbilly winning the lottery.
A little history on Justin according to Chinese wiki content: He got very poor grades in school, but is good with words if nothing else. He used this talent to win a writing competition.
This allowed him to circumvent grade restrictions to enter Beijing University through a special program. He then transferred to a Hong Kong Uni (and started badmouthing Beijing Uni from there). The rest is history, but I think we can all see that his professional business persona isn't exactly flourishing...
New money can create ugly personalities. Perhaps it is because once the money is in hand one can retaliate for all the ills of the past. We have seen the same phenomena played out with downvotes on Steem, I believe.
