Cold thoughts blown away
The winds have picked up this morning and soon the snow dust on the trees of yesterday will be a distant memory. These shots were taken at the lake near our home and one of my favourite places to sit in the summer and think a little. I like photographing it at different stages and conditions of the year to note how it changes and returns from state to state, much like my my thoughts as I think.
We are not our thoughts, I suppose that most understand this already. Our thoughts come and go from moment to moment and those that were common in the mind of a child may never be seen again. How we view our world is in a constant state of flux and what we believe and how we think about these things shifts heavily with experience. But, if we are not our thoughts, why do we tie others to theirs?
Are they incapable of a changing mind or like us under observation, can all minds change? I see that our thoughts are malleable and we can direct them if we choose even though they may not go into the corrals of our choosing. I think that the bigot, the extremist, the religious and the depressed can fundamentally change their thinking if they were to actively take part, instead of passively float.
Most choose not to try even though they note that their minds are shifting, their thoughts are changing. The choose not to try for a whole range of reasons but perhaps often it is fear that what if the attempt is made to be better but, the results do not show the effort. Perhaps it is best than to accept my mind and stay a victim of thought.
And we are victims of our thinking if we choose not to understand the changing conditions of our mind. If we choose not to realise that how we think of where we were, are and will be are not aligned and as a result, our expectations of our future cannot be met because of the conflict in our thoughts and - the resulting actions we take.

Wow, did it really look like that there this morning or were those taken earlier?
Taken earlier, but a few days ago it came close.
Friend, @tarazkp, we have to make a sustained effort to keep positive, optimistic thoughts. I know there is a constant struggle inside our heads, but we have to make those thoughts prevail that are good for us. The mind has great power in my view, and if we cultivate positive thoughts, they are the ones that will flourish. Let's get rid of the dark and negative thoughts because what is not in our mind, is not in our life. A hug.
Sometimes, it is good for us to face our mental demons so we can accept, let go and move on
