We had this tap installed the other day on the wall. It is angled so when turned off, the water will drain out from further up the pipe and not freeze in minus temperatures.

such a simple but logical solution, ... I guess you live in a fairly cold climate.

Yes. I live in Finland. They do a pretty good job with the cold weather.
