I think, very cynically, that you always have to believe it's NOT true at first, and then only 'check if maybe it is true anyway'. I have this mindset and it does help ;-) If it's too good to be true it probably isn't. But this scam you describe is nasty as it's so close to what you're working towards to - that makes it more believeable than a random 'you won the lottery!'...

You're right, of course. Sorry, just seeing this... Overcoming a flu and out-of-town house guest visiting. Meantime, I've managed to write a poem, to process this experience, and I hope to post it, here, soon.
