A Warning about the Proposed Hardfork

We want users to be warned and knowledgeable about what is happening on Steem.
We have added a notification the first time you log in with an account.

PROVIDING INFORMATION

We have given a few articles available at the time of publication of this notification.

We have very little information or better said ANALYSIS about the code itself except it is stated that over 23 million of steem will be removed from 65 accounts and put into an account called @community321 ... we do not know who who owns the keys to that account.
Also apparently powerdown is being moved from 13 weeks to 4 weeks.

You can review the code here https://github.com/steemhardfork/steemhf/compare/hf0.23

VOICE HEARD

If you have thoughts on the fork we may have in the past told you to VOTE for witnesses (either to support or not) but now days with one account capable of outvoting everyone else that is voting (put together) it may not be helpful.

So best option is to talk to exchanges which still have the choice to run this software or not.

FEEL FREE TO SHARE ARTICLES IN THE COMMENTS

If there are articles or links to where to talk to interact with exchanges leave them below

In the meantime we invite people over to see all the amazing new features on PeakD.com including TIPPING and a nice new Wallet interface.

Will this situation accelerate SteemPeak’s decision as to whether to continue providing Steem services at all? I for one hate to see any good people or teams remaining on Steem in any capacity. I’m happy to see SplinterLands migrating, as well as SteemAuto shutting down, and would take a grim satisfaction in seeing SteemPeak shuttered and only PeakD moving forward.

indeed, I would welcome this as well.

👍👍👍

Looking more uncertain by the day on Steemit and with Steem. Thanks to the new boss, anything is possible.

including anything he said he would never allow... now being allowed. So yep anything.
