RE: AT&T Closes Directv Operations in Venezuela.
Let me be a little frank here, this is political and gradually the government of Venezuela is taking Venezuela to a fourth world nation. What i am saying are just speculations as i am not in the country but from my view, It looks like the government sanctioned the TV for broadcasting what they shouldn't or the government placed extra taxes and licensing fee on them. The company AT&T isn't a government owned company so the company might have to weigh
a decision that was made by the company's US leadership team without any involvement or prior knowledge of the DIRECTV Venezuela team
It is business and if the country and the company can't come to an agreement, then the company has to leave.
Logically, all this has its political background, the United States government is pushing for the government in power in Venezuela to come out of power and thus end so many years of misery in Venezuela.
