I try to look at the fundamentals and by that I don't mean the chart or the price. I look at the supply, the progress of the supply, the use cases, the stake rate, the liquidity on the market
I am not an expert in chart reading but I also check these things before investing and these are important factors to go through. This also helps to have a better picture of the coin and the project.
I think a lot of people only look at the price. When they see something that is a lot in the green they jump on it. This is not how I would do it :-)
