RE: State of Crypto Acceptance Internationally
To start I really like the article, it takes an overview to know how we are in terms of acceptance, not necessarily with a legal framework.
However, I would like to limit that in Venezuela, if we accept cryptocurrencies as a form of payment, even when it is not a unit of account as such and does not have a defined legal body, if it is accepted in any field that adds this form of payment. We even have an entity called the Superintendence of Cryptoactive Assets and Electronic Payments, which, for better or for worse, exercises jurisdiction over the regulations presented by digital payment methods, including mining.
So far we have something, I really don't know how to define it, but it is closer to a CBDC, called PETRO, which doesn't have much acceptance, but it's there.
That's interesting. At least they put a foot inside, which will eventually help safeguard citizens when things go south (maybe) and benefit from taxation when things are up..
