My Thoughts on Surviving Through the Current Harsh Economy

I went to the local market today to get foodstuff for the house, and the price was over the moon, I was so confused about what to buy and what to let go of because the money I had with me was not just enough to buy even half the items I have on my list, while some prices have doubled, others have even tripled.

Regardless of what happens with the prices of groceries, we still have to survive yeah, but then how does one go about it, the funny thing is how I am only even trying to get basic things like feeding and nothing even extra.

All I was thinking about today was how to earn more as that appears to be the only solution to the economic challenge we are going through right now. I immediately started trying to speak with friends who could link me up with other sources of income, I had never thought about the importance of earning extra income sources this bad before.

Thinking about the things I can do, here are some considerations you may also like to check out;

• A service business: The digital age continues to soar, and creating a service business has moved from being a dream to becoming a reality. With the presence of social media, it is now possible to have a wider reach that would lead to business growth.

One could start this by using an already existing network, speaking about your service to the people around you, and having them do the same. Referral systems and word-of-mouth marketing work so many wonders in this age and time.

Appropriately working around a service business by making use of online platform tools available, one will be able to generate a side hustle that pays well.

• Real estate investment: The real estate space has gone beyond having to own a home by yourself, there are other fresh pathways to now earn as a real estate investor without even owning a home. One could invest in small properties, some of these properties come with a manageable price tag while local property management groups can help with its management in your absence.

• Make extra money online: For those who work from home, this can be helpful, or maybe for those who have some leisure time on their hands. You can start by launching an online course in something you are very good at, creating a YouTube channel amongst other viable opportunities.

As you open a YouTube channel talking about what you are good at or passionate about, your passion could transform into a great opportunity for money-making for you. The good thing is, that you do not have to spend the entire day doing it, you could just spare a few hours during the day to get it done.

• Get paid for what you are doing already: Imagine how lovely it would be if your hobby could bring in money for you, those extra time you waste away after work could be used effectively to make some good, and that would come with a lot of fun also.

I am still thinking of the most suitable option to work with, but I just thought to share with you as well, I hope I can come up with something that works fast too before we begin to starve over here.
