WAYS OF MARKETING YOUR PRODUCT.

Do you want to market your product? Do you want more customers? I guess it's a yes, if it is, then this content is for you.

To market your product is to sell or promote your product. This is simply product marketing and it's a way or process of bringing your product to the market.

Product marketing is a way you make your products known to people and not just making it known to them but also making them understand what your product is about, believing in your product and also making them buy your products.

You are probably asking, how then can I market my product? The answer is digital marketing.

The world is going digital and there are thousand and one customers online ready to purchase your product only if it is of benefit to them.

You need to have a presence online in order to thrive in this economy. You know what digital marketing will do for you and your product?

Digital marketing will put your product at the forefront where you are visible to your customers and they get to ask questions about your product and you.

You can't just post your products online anyhow because it is digital marketing. You need to know how to give your product a proper introduction and employ certain strategies that will make you visible.

These strategies include;

  1. Know your target audience
  2. Tell a genuine story about your product
  3. Research about your competitors
  4. Know your marketing platforms
  5. Don't do anything against your product
  6. Create appealing contents

1. KNOW YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE
Research who your customers are, that is what I mean. Without this information, your product won't sell.

Researching about your customer helps in understanding their behaviour, their problems, their desire.

This will help you identify who you will market your products to. Let's take for instance your product is meant for the working class people and unknowing to you, your marketing action is towards students, would your product sell?

Knowing your audience will reduce your stress and help you double down to improve your product features and make it more relatable to them.

2. TELL A GENUINE STORY ABOUT YOUR PRODUCT.
Don't just advertise your product but sell it's experience, you know why? People want solutions to their problems, nobody will buy products that don't benefit them.

Let your audience's brain be engaged when you are selling your product and you can do this through storytelling, you know why?

The human brain can't ignore novelty. There's a way stories plant ideas and emotions into your audiences brain.

Tell stories about your product, there is no product without a story, it only depends on creativity. Creativity here doesn't mean false stories about what your products can't offer.

Storytelling will help you persuade your audience back to your product.

3. RESEARCH ABOUT YOUR COMPETITORS.
This is very important, when you research about your competitors, don't imitate what they do.

One product has to make a difference. Research about them, check what they do and what they don't, act on what they don't do that can make your product visible.

This will help you find a rare angle for your product. You can check their websites, product reviews, pricing, social media handles, and marketplace listings.

4. KNOW YOUR MARKETING PLATFORMS
Your target audience will determine your marketing platforms.

Let's say your target audience make use of Facebook more than Instagram and you make use of Instagram as your marketing platform, you know your product won't sell.

There is nothing much about this, just know who your target audience is and make use of platforms they engage in more as your marketing platforms.

There are different types digital marketing like email marketing, pay per click, social media marketing, search engine optimization, mobile marketing, etc.

5. DON'T DO ANYTHING AGAINST YOUR PRODUCT
Be careful to protect your product. Because you want to be visible, don't make your product lose relevance through that.

Don't engage in unhealthy comparison between your product and that of your competitors.

6. CREATE AESTHETIC CONTENTS.
When I say create contents, I don't mean writing alone, writing is content writing.

Content creation include writing, graphics, videos and everything that is needed for your products branding. Your content is very important because it fuels your product, it shows how much you are willing to spend on your products.

Good and relatable contents can help you generate lead (people). This can help you stimulate the interest of your audience towards your product.

Your contents can also fuel your target audience's action.
