Time and Imagination

Since immemorial times, human has found this art of storytelling as an intricate part of life, being used as mediums to pass on moral teachings, historical events, and culture pursuits to the next generations of humanity. The Homeric epics and stories of J.K. Rowling are only two of the examples that shows how storytelling developed along with the society.

We could see new mediums and technologies appear. Firstly, photos are taken of the animals in the wild, portraying their natural habitat and recording their behaviors. Secondly, detailed descriptions are given of the animals' appearance, their enlargements, and movements. Finally, factual data about age, population, and behaviors are provided for a complete description of the chosen species.

People experience stories with all their emotions involved. They can see the world with someone else's eyes or through motivations of someone from a different background. Then they grow with lessons gained from experiences that characters went through. It is their ability to take the audiences to distant planets, universes, or even into the remote parts of their minds that enables them to do this. In addition, storytelling has a powerful sense of common bonds that develops between people through stories which were shared with them. Also, it leads to communication where narratives are being repeated.

Being a person of our time we know frequency there is no attention span, and the ocean of information, but, nevertheless, the story-telling is in live greeting us with possible means of communication and understanding most of all.
