The traffic statistics show it as you mentioned, many checks at night and quite a few people have died, I particularly have lived it, on one occasion I fell asleep driving and my wife woke me up because I was almost off the road.

I used to like to travel at night, now I avoid doing it, as the years go by one becomes more cautious.
