There's actually no doubt that news has a huge impact on blockchain. I love the XRP and SEC example you sighted up there as this shows how the news had a great impact on the price of XRP. The same also applies to that of BTC whenever we hear some top companies buying or adopting Bitcoin as this will boost the price of BTC making more investors pump into the market system just with the power of news.
