As we all know today (June 20)is a special day for all fathers and that's why we do celebrate this a day like this every year just to compensate our father(s) for their great impact on our lives just like we always celebrate that of mothers day too whenever it's their turn too. I'm definitely sure you must have been noticing different people posting their father pictures on their social media page such as WhatsApp, Facebook, etc just to show that special recognition to celebrate their father while some people bought gifts for her father for this special day.

From my perception, I think having this kind of celebration or celebrating our fathers on a special day like this shouldn't always be our major priority. I think our parents deserves to be celebrated and treated specially every single day because they really worth the celebration. This is why I'm going to be sharing with you some of the reasons why our father really needs to be celebrated everyday and not on father's day alone. I'm going share these few points based on my experience through the way my father treat us at home and I definitely hope you'll find this interesting.

Responsibility and Sacrifice

#1 RESPONSIBILITY

One of the vital qualities of a father is the ability to be responsible in his home. There's actually more to being responsible other than what we think, you can only understand that level and definition of responsibility when you become a father too.

As a father, there are tons of responsibility and duties required to be executed by fathers. This responsibilities are often connected with his relatives because he must ensure to take care of his wife and children by providing for them in terms of feeding, accommodation, care, education and many others.

I could remember how my father had to keep paying our school fees despite the fact that it wasn't really to study here in Africa and making money isn't really that easy here but he has to do his best and ensure he grant us the required education we deserve as his children. He would also take his time to assist us with some things we needed just to ensure that he fulfil his responsibility as a father. Kudos to every responsible man out there who are doing their best in fulfilling the family responsibilities and duties as expected of them. Don't you think our fathers deserves to be celebrated everyday for this great act?. I'll leave you to answer that question yourself 😊.

#2 SACRIFICE

Another great act of most parent is the ability to sacrifice for their family. Our mothers took lot of sacrifice for us from the day we've been in her womb and the greatest of it all was the day she gave birth to you as her child. I once asked a mother about how she felt when she was giving birth to her offsprings then she told me the pain was extremely unbearable for her because was really severe more than we can ever imagine. I began to wonder the type of pain and torture every women go through just to give birth to children. The fact that your mother gave birth to you and never aborted or killed you while you were in her womb shows how much really loves and care for you.

On the other hand, fathers also tend to take more sacrifice sometimes than mothers. I've seen different situations whereby a single father will take both the responsibility of a mother combined with his. This is why you see some men bathing for their kids, cooking and doing all sort of house chores whenever his wife isn't available. I've also seen cases whereby a child is being brought up by his father alone without any support from any woman sometimes due to marital issues (divorce) or death of his wife.

There's actually no doubt that mothers make sacrifices but fathers tend to make more sacrifice sometimes because it isn't easy feeding and leading a whole family. It isn't easy paying for the whole bills. It isn't easy caring for the whole family and friends. It isn't easy sometimes for men out there taking up all these sacrifices as a father but they have no choice than to do it because it's their responsibility and this is why such fathers deserves to be celebrated everyday.

Your Duty As a Child to your Parents

As a child you are also expected to fulfil your responsibilities towards your parent. Some of these responsibilities includes;

• Respecting them
• Caring for them
• Making them happy
• Checking up on them
• Love them and show them you love them
• Take sacrifices for them too
• Call them often
• Pray for them if possible
• Surprise and buy them amazing gifts
