Mutual Respect: Is Most Important In Relationships
Most people think that if a person likes you or loves, that it will make the relationship work for a long time, but that's hardly ever the reality. Because now a days, people can stop liking you or loving you quite easily. Better to work with people who are respectful by nature.
Not just the fact that they respect you as a person. You see it in how they respect other people. These people are respectful, and like to make others feel respected. Usually when you make a person feel respected, you're helping in building that person's self esteem.
And just the same way as you must respect others, you must demand respect. Don't put up with anybody who is disrespecting you. Some people will say that they love you, but they constantly disrespect you with their actions towards you. And this shouldn't be acceptable.
As a businessman, aiming to be self reliant and confident, you will thrive when you know that the people around you respect you - both in your personal relationships and in your business relationships. You can feel this respect from these people, not just because you do favors for them - but because they naturally admire and respect you as a human being.
And that's why you see that long lasting relationships are not simply based on likeness or love, but rather they're based on mutual respect. Hence, when looking for people to bring into your inner circle in your work life or personal life, always look for people who respect you as a person; and respect other people.
