RE: Ransomware is attacking my university.
Hello @crypto.piotr, Thanks for visiting my publication.
To tell you the truth, I'm amazed that so far I've never been hacked (hopefully I'm just not work hacking). In current world it's becoming harder and harder to protect ourselfs from our activity online: /
Good for you, I hope that never happens to you, it is not good to be attacked by malicious software.
I like to have my second laptop ready (with most backed up data). So in case if something goes wrong with first one - I can just switch it on second one and continue my work.
Excellent backup resource. however I recommend an external disk, I have one and there I send important backup, especially my keys.
The biggest piece of advice I give you is DO NOT PAY never the ransom.
Interesting. Why?
Wouldn't you consider paying the best option for many? Solution, which would solve problem for those who do not have a backup? Or those who do not mind spending money? :)
It is just a piece of advice from someone who would not pay for it, after reading many forums, in almost all of which I read, they say that 80% of the cases that they pay to return information, unfortunately never happens, that is why I also recommend that it is good to always have a backup to protect us
Another additional tip is to use Linux :)
Saludos mi pana Piotr.
