So does falling in football and grabbing a mesh jersey for the first few tackles. But that kind of pain has a delayed response and can have some good tied to it. I image this would be similar to owning the robot. Probably hurt more knowing that someone will want to sue me for jumping in the ring of the robot fighting circuit.

Seriously though, I am with you on praising being more beneficial with a caveat. A lie in a praise can sometimes be infinitely worse than a lie in pain.
