THE 5 HIGHLIGHTS THAT HAVE MARKED MY 2022

We start a new year in which our objectives and projections of life are reborn, so that the hope in this year 2023, jumps again to the forefront with the purpose of achieving each of the dreams that we have drawn and that no doubt we saw and projected throughout our Christmas holidays.

Although many do not share the idea of going to the past and evaluating our experiences, I personally believe that it is those experiences and learnings that make us grow and fill us with wisdom to face the new and different scenarios that we will live for the new year that we are assuming.

In this sense, looking back, I realize that despite the adversities, the year 2022 has been a year of much learning where I have been able to make new friends, to train myself, to make new investments, some positive, others not so much, and above all to grow as a family.

However, in spite of the above, I would like to identify 5 specific moments which, in my opinion, are undoubtedly worth highlighting and which we will organize below:

1. Personal and family growth: at this point, through a training that I have been able to do together with my wife, which has as a title school for marriage, we have had the possibility to see the marriage relationship from a different perspective, here we have learned about the family and what are the fundamental bases that should forge a marriage on the rock.

So we have been trained with the necessary tools and strategies that allow us to deal with the various problems of marriage, assuming clearly that marriage, unquestionably goes through different seasons, as in nature, and that is where we must be clear about the different scenarios that arise, as a relationship can fall into a summer stage or failing that spring, not forgetting the fall and winter, where each of these stages have their ups and downs and if we are not trained to deal with it, our relationship would end up being frustrated. So this has been a time to train ourselves, to learn and to improve in the relevant aspects of our married life.

2. My encounter with God: this has been one of the most emotional and wonderful moments of my life, I confess that at all times I had been afraid to enter Christianity, because I did not feel prepared to assume a highly demanding responsibility.

However, with the passage of time I have been able to realize that we will never be prepared for the new things that are coming, the idea is to dare and take that step of perseverance and commitment.

I still remember that moment, where in a certain way I felt my calling, although I was not a Christian, the activities and people with whom I shared with were. So indirectly I had already accepted God in my heart, only the step of baptism was missing, where we leave behind the old man, dying in the flesh symbolically, and we assume a new life, guided by the righteousness and values that our Lord Jesus Christ gave us through his example.

So this new life with my wife and family has given me the opportunity to grow in the different aspects of life, specifically in the religious, economic and social areas, since through the church and communion with Jesus, we have been able to realize the capacity we have to give, capacity that allows us to take and support others.

3. The great family party: this activity has been one of the most beautiful experiences of my 2022, since I have been the organizer of the first Fest Family of the town, there more than 50 families, we managed to share and integrate through different recreational activities, demonstrating that beyond the problems, all that is done with love, commitment and dedication results in the best way.

4. Helping others: this has been another of the activities where I have been an organizer and as I said before, the gift of giving, if it is well directed, undoubtedly brings benefit to both the recipient and the one who shares. So that through the experience of a helping hand, we have been able to bring smiles and joy to those people who in some way do not have that helping hand and that supportive embrace that allows them to get out of the hole where they have fallen.

So we have managed to organize a space where we share food, clothing and personal hygiene products dedicated to people who have been involved in vices and alcohol, where in the first instance, we have been able to help through food, but even more through the word of salvation, fulfilling in this way, with the example that Jesus Christ gave us and that no doubt if we implement it daily, we will feel conformed in the spiritual, filling us with kindness and solidarity that our country needs so much.

5. Global Leadership Summit: this experience lived in 2022, allowed me to serve as an influence and instrument for the growth of other people, through the activity living the summit experience, we have had the ability to train more than 200 people on issues associated with leadership, sharing conferences and international point of view that allow us to grow in individual work but especially highlight the community work, which undoubtedly is what allows us to make a better society.

Through this activity, we have been able to train and educate the people who make life in the leadership of our people, providing them with a different vision of how to do things better every day and how we should move forward as a society.

Therefore, through the experiences I have just mentioned, I consider that the year 2022, which has just ended, has been a year of experience that has allowed me to grow as a person and to have much firmer and clearer projections and that we must continue to strive to make them possible in 2023.
