The idea of extracting water from the humidity of the air is nothing new, years ago the company Watergen created the first machine capable of obtaining water by this procedure, but the model of this company was somewhat cumbersome and could only achieve thirteen liters per day and with a fairly high energy cost.

La idea de extraer agua a partir de la humedad del aire no es nada nuevo, hace ya años que la empresa Watergen creó la primera máquina capaz de conseguir agua por este procedimiento, pero el modelo de esta compañía era algo aparatoso y tan solo podía conseguir trece litros por día y con un coste energético bastante alto.

Normally to extract the water from the air it is cooled until it condenses and then the water is collected, but now the Israeli company H2oll has reformed this system by adding a concentrated solution of salt, instead of cooling the entire mass of air, it extracts and it cools only the molecules that are charged with moisture.

Normalmente pare extraer el agua del aire éste se enfría hasta que se condensa y luego se recoge el agua, pero ahora la empresa israelí H2oll ha reformado este sistema añadiendo una solución concentrada de sal, en lugar de enfriar toda la masa de aire, extrae y enfría solo las moléculas que están cargadas de humedad.

The method used by H2oll is called absorption technology or liquid desiccant, with this technology the company captures moisture from the air using a solution similar to Dead Sea water, that is, one part salt to two parts water, the salt absorbs the water that contains the air and forms a solution of brine and water.

El método utilizado por H2oll se denomina tecnología de absorción o desecante líquido, con esta tecnología la empresa captura la humedad del aire utilizando una solución similar al agua del Mar Muerto, es decir, una parte de sal por dos partes de agua, la sal absorbe el agua que contiene el aire y forma una solución de salmuera y agua.

Subsequently, this solution is processed by heating, cooling, condensing and re-cooling the entire solution, until high-quality drinking water is obtained. Each of these machines is capable of producing up to a thousand liters per day, which would be enough to supply a community of about two hundred people.

Posteriormente esta solución se procesa calentando, enfriando, condensando y volviendo a enfriar toda la solución, hasta obtener agua potable de alta calidad, cada una de esta máquinas es capaz de producir hasta mil litros diarios, lo que sería suficiente para abastecer a una comunidad de unas doscientas personas.
