Hard work it's the way
Greetings friends, I recently read the book the richest man in Babylon, a highly recommended reading, despite being a simple book, its message is very clear and very powerful, its author George Clason despite having a repetitive and very simple message, I think he delivers on what he promises by moving us to that ancient world of Babylon and giving us those financial lessons.
Today I wanted to share with you the last chapter of the book and I have not been able to stop thinking about that chapter since I read it, in the final chapter of the book the story of a slave who becomes a rich man is told, something that has become seen before, since the poor always become rich in fiction. This time we are in ancient Babylon and there is slavery, where one person is the owner of another.
This is how they tell us the story of the slave who becomes rich, by force of work, because the slave only had one means to get out of his slavery and it was work, now analyze how difficult that time was, the slave worked for his master and he did not pay him, he only gave him food and shelter.
Despite all the slave did his work and soon did the work of his master, soon after he offered his master, who owned the bakery, that after closing the bakery, he could go out to sell bread and that he would give him half of the earnings, the master could not refuse since the slave actually fulfilled much more than any other human being could work, and how to say no to extra money.
So our hero had to get up earlier to make extra bread and after the difficult working day, he would go out to sell bread walking through the city, and receive half the money.
I make a parallel in my life because despite not being in a situation of slavery, in my country Venezuela is experiencing a very strong economic crisis and the only way out of the crisis is how our friend the slave taught us, working harder and more hours than anyone, as Elon Musk said you can't change the world by working 40 hours a week.

I am also an advocate of hard work, however, beyond that smart work pays off more, because if only hard work gave money, much of the world would be millionaires, and that is not the actual reality.
