The importance of expressing what affects us emotionally

Greetings again my dear friends of this prestigious platform, repeatedly we refuse to tell or express those emotions that hurt us or weaken our desire to continue through life with the constant struggle of our walk from one side to another, we have to get used to remove or expel those things that affect us because by not doing so we are allowing us to continue doing damage.

Undoubtedly we must take into account that there are people who can listen to us with the best of intentions to help us and in this way we drain that which keeps us on the verge of depression, even though we are the strongest at some point someone next to us will feel our inattention to the things we must do.

We live full of emotions that take us from one side to the other, that is to say, from one extreme that transmits happiness to the other extreme that transmits sadness or nostalgia for something that has happened to us at a certain moment, in this way our emotions are managed and we must know how to live with them so as not to collapse and worsen our state of mind.

For many it is not easy to tell anything that affects us emotionally, and this leads to an accumulation of mixed feelings inside us and our mind hoards it in an abstract way to wait for the moment we can get it out and tell someone close to us, or a professional in the field to allow us to overcome what is affecting us emotionally.

What I do in my case is to try to expel any kind of emotion that may affect my emotional balance, even though sometimes we can't tell, but it will really serve as an escape valve of pressure and in this way, no doubt, we will feel better as long as we transmit it to people who show interest in helping us as much as they can, since we must do the rest by ourselves.

We cannot be open with everyone, but, without a doubt, we will always meet people who earn our trust because they value us and show interest in our wellbeing. We should look for those people to listen to us and allow us to let off steam at certain times when we have difficulties in any way, especially emotionally.

Hi @rbalzan79, being able to express our emotions is not an easy task for everyone.

Throughout my life I have been characterized by being a very emotional person, I cry very easily and in the same way I share my joys with others, but there are people who suffer in silence and it is difficult for them to overcome those negative traumas in life.

Hi @rbalzan79, excellent your article, what you mention is very true, we should not keep things from ourselves what we feel especially when they are feelings that can cause us discomfort in our lives. As you say, there will always be someone who is our trust and who listens to us and advises us.

Difficult emotions need to be expressed so that you can gain some level of internal freedom. But the difficult thing in most cases is finding someone you trust and who is actually interested in helping you get better. Thanks for sharing!

Very good reflection my friend, no doubt repressing emotions only hurts us more, and sometimes just by telling a friend what is happening to us it seems that we already take a weight off our shoulders, so it is good to always have the support of friends and family.
