Greetings dear @ProjectHOPE community, once again I want to share with you a topic that is related to the consequences that giving importance to bad advice from people who are part of your daily life can bring.

INTRODUCTION

In different areas of our lives we have heard of the famous daily sayings that usually bring certain educational and toxic experiences and opinions at the same time. The point is that we must learn to know what to take or leave in our long road of life, because many of the achievements we can reach will depend on it.

Basically I will focus on two of the commonly used sayings "A foolish word is a deaf ear" or "he who does not take advice does not grow old" and is that there will always be those people who are part of the obstacles to achieve your dreams and it is right there where you must stand firm and never give up.

BIBLICAL CHARACTERS WHO WERE PERSEVERING

David was one of the most emblematic characters of the Bible, it tells how he was able to defeat the giant Goliath even when he was smaller and less strong, he ignored the comments of his older brother Eliab, when David told him that he could not defeat the giant for the simple reason of being a shepherd and although his own father believed him less than his brothers by not allowing him to be anointed to be king. He persevered in such a way that God himself granted him victory over the giant Goliath and made him king of Israel because of his great nobility and good heart.

He should be an example to follow, since in several episodes of our lives we have gone through similar situations that make us think that our goals are too high and we will not touch them or even worse we have that toxic person who tells us that we are not enough to do the things we want to do, that is where we should not listen to his negative words and on the contrary empower ourselves and do the impossible to achieve our dreams.

Another of the great men who did incredible things in the times of Israel is Joseph, who despite the mockery and the great contempt that his brothers had for him, was not intimidated and fulfilled the purpose that God had in him, which was not an easy task, because he was chosen to be the earthly father of our savior, since our father could distinguish with great ease his magnificent qualities such as: being a just and noble man and who could interpret his own dreams.

They show us that if God is guiding us towards something great we should not fear, because as long as he is with us all our works will go well, we may have stumbles along the way, but the goal is not to faint and continue, no one is born learned and even people with a lot of experience tend to err, the question is that this simply serves as a basis to create a new plan to reach the end of our search.

In the same vein, we must keep in mind that in the world there are two types of people, those who depend on third party opinions to do anything and those who are totally independent and these were particularly the personalities of David and Joseph, daring and enterprising people who did not give up before the adversities of destiny and above all who were firm believers in God the father who can do anything. Key examples that show us that we should not let our actions be guided by the opinions of others even when they tell you that if you do not listen to advice you will not grow old, for there we have David who died at around 70 years of age, while Joseph died at 60 years of age.

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

We must keep in mind that our limit is the sky, therefore everything you propose to do, if God is with you and you have faith you will achieve it, as a great example of the exploits of the Bible we have David, who is considered one of the best king of Israel and that despite being a weak person and without any sword managed to defeat the giant Goliath with only a stone and a slingshot even when his attacker had his defense implements he faced the fearful giant in the name of the Almighty and managed to defeat him. He should be an inspiration to all of us and not leave us or feel less than others because of their opinions, let us learn to have our own criteria and to trust 100% in ourselves.

Being perseverant in life is a quality that we should never leave behind, because with it you will go further than you can imagine, if you stumble do not stay there continue in the constant struggle that in the end every great effort is very well rewarded.

Happy and blessed beginning of the week dear readers, if you have anything to add to my writing please let me know in the corresponding section. Next I will leave you some biblical quotations that corroborate my arguments.

Hello @sidalim88!
Very good examples of perseverance, and that we have to trust in our abilities and skills to face the different circumstances that may arise. However, I believe that we should listen sometimes, for example to our parents who are wise and want our good and that their advice will help us on the road of life, we just have to know who to listen to and who not to pay attention to. Thank you for sharing.
