Ethereum And Polygon Gained The Highest Number Of New Users In Q1 2024
Polygon is a layer two scaling solution of Ethereum. Both Ethereum and Polygon have gained the highest numbers of users that are new, in the first quarter of this year 2024. Both blockchains have had the most new users when compared to other Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) chains in 2024.
Ethereum has attracted as high as 13.4 million new users, while Polygon has attracted about 12.3 million. Apparently, DeFi is mainly attracting the new users in several block chains in 2024. Ethereum is on top, with a total of $1 billion trading volume.
And Ethereum's most active day of trading was on the 5th of March, and it saw trading volume of about $428 million. Arbitrum comes next, after Ethereum and Polygon in terms of gaining new users. Although, Arbitrum is quite far behind both Ethereum and Polygon - it has attracted most of its new users in terms of trading volume in 2024.
Since January 2024, the most volume of NFT transactions in USD has been seen in Ethereum and Polygon. Ethereum has seen daily volume of NFT transactions as high as $1 million since the start of 2024 consistently. While Polygon has seen more consistent trading volume of about $500,000 daily.
