When you're in a relationship with someone who you trust, whether it's a business relationship and your personal relationship - you'll quickly find that trust is the main pillar holding up that relationship, because if trust is broken; then perhaps everything falls apart.
You need to make yourself trustworthy to the people you have around you, and most especially the people you do business with. Because the fact is that, if you break someone's trust - it may be impossible to get that trust back.
There's the need to hold yourself accountable for all you do. Trust is a very delicate thing, because if someone cannot believe that a person will keep to their end of the deal - then why will they do business with such a person? They may simply avoid that person.
Thus, don't do things that will jeopardize the trust that people have in you. Whenever you've made an agreement with someone, business or casual - do your best to keep to your end of the deal. You may think that people aren't observing, but they usually are.
And words travel fast. If you become known to be untrustworthy, things can become rough with people pretty fast. The man who becomes known as trustworthy, will have people open their banks to him, and more businesses will be naturally attracted to him.
