Squirrel

One day, walking with my grandmother in a quiet winter forest, I heard a rustle. Looking closer, I saw that it was a squirrel. The squirrel was sitting on a branch of a tall tree. It was an old oak tree covered with snow. She was gnawing on nuts stored in the fall.

I had never seen squirrels before and was very impressed. She was very small, with tiny paws, but very agile and agile. She was looking at me. She was used to people, but she still seemed cautious. Squirrels wear thick fur to keep warm in winter. His fur was a mixture of red, gray and white. The squirrel's eyes were shiny black. And on top of his head he had cute long ears with tassels, which he acquired for the winter season.

Most of all I was surprised by the incredibly fluffy squirrel tail! It was gray and orange around the edges.

According to my grandmother, animals like squirrels like to eat nuts, seeds, mushrooms, insects and eggs. Unfortunately, neither Grandma nor I were ready for an unexpected encounter with a squirrel, so we didn't have anything in our pockets to treat the forest animal. After a while, the squirrel disappeared. The squirrel quickly climbed up the tree. To do this, the squirrel has sharp claws on its paws.

I really liked this walk, now I always carry a handful of seeds with me to the forest, in case I meet a cute forest squirrel.
