Prologue

Charity they say begins at home.
Most times I do ask business owners; how do you expect my patronage when your immediate relatives, associates, neighbors and friends aren't patronizing you, at least if not for anything, just to support you.

This is a personal reaction be anyways, but it seems fair if other people feel the same way
As witnesses who have been privileged to know and explore the goodness of the Steemit platform, yes out of our benevolence, we've decided to invite more people to come and enjoy the abundance of this platform.
And as a saying goes; "...the more the merrier..."

Appreciation

Before I proceed, I want to seize this opportunity to appreciate the entire crew of the Around the world community.
I've actually been a member of this community for a while now, and I must confess, the experience has been impressive.
The contest, happens to be, in my own words, one of the most essential contest I've witnessed so far a quest on the expansion of the platform and I can't relent to share my ideas on this subject matter.

My experience with Steemit.

I've been on a Steemit platform for a very long time and I've witnessed a lot of phases of growth of the platform.

and really I appreciate the developers of this platform for the unrelenting effort.
To some extent, I must say that the membership growth plan of this platform is not responding as anticipated, without beating about around the bush, I want to deliver my contribution.

I believe that over the years, the Steemit platforms promotion has been mostly done through mass media.
Let me tip this in, we have to consider that Steemit platform is a very peculiar platform thus this peculiarity is really exhibited in its strictness in its policies.

Personally, I got to know about Steemit through a by best friend @Crystannson who more or less is family to me.
I can equally sight so many team mates users who got to know about Steemit User's who equally got to know about Steemit through a similar way.

An effective way to promote Steemit

From my point of view, I believe that the best way to promote a platform of this sort is by one to one evangelism.
From my point of view, I believe that having to have someone you know, personally, persuading or inviting you to do a thing feels more secure and easy to consider.

Personally, to promote Steemit to my family has been something I do on a daily. In fact, recently I was able to convince my dad to join Steemit. I've also convinced, a good number of my friends to join Steemit. Some who have even grown beyond me in the platform.

To set up my game, I would on my free days go on a door to door recruitment exercise around my neighborhood.

This I believe can fetch me more users to join the platform.

My special proposal.

I am a University undergraduate studying Mechanical Engineering here in Nigeria.
Speaking from a good survey, I see that human beings exhibit more effectiveness when they are given a sense of competition.
Steemit has reached this far, having this multitude of users, this gives a good projection for the platform.
If all users would be tasked with a weekly contest that *all users should recruit a certain number of active users within a short period of time then first to reach this number will be announced as winner. I must confess that the platform population would grow boundlessly. such competition would activate all users, and help them work beyond their comfort zone. People like challenges.
