Where is this natural place located?

Nature is the greatest teacher and a source of inspiration for every human being. Its beauty, structure, and ecological systems have sparked the birth of various technological innovations and even artistic masterpieces. Its appearance always changes depending on the light, weather, season, and even human emotions themselves. A seemingly ordinary view can turn into a very beautiful one at sunrise or sunset. One of the enchanting places around where I live is the Lhokseumawe City Reservoir. To participate in this week's challenge, I chose the natural location of the Lhokseumawe City Reservoir, located in the Pusong area, Banda Sakti District, Lhokseumawe City, Aceh.

What makes this place beautiful or special to you?

This peaceful place is where water, sky, various animals, and human activity coexist. The reservoir's location offers something invaluable: silence and tranquility, and a direct connection with nature. The reservoir's location on the outskirts of town creates a calm and comfortable atmosphere, far from the hustle and bustle. What makes this reservoir so memorable is the incredible diversity of views I can witness in just a few minutes. Although I've visited this place several times, each visit is always memorable because of its beauty, especially in the evening.

What natural elements or scenery attracted your attention the most?

As night falls, the scenery becomes even more stunning. The bright daylight gradually softens to golden sunset hues, then soft pinks and blues. Several sights around the reservoir will further captivate visitors. Besides the calm waters, you'll also see small trees and lush greenery. A small forest in the middle of the lake is incredibly beautiful and soothing. Within the reservoir, you can spot a number of pure white birds flocking to feed on small fish.

How does this place reflect the natural beauty or environment of your area?

The Lhokseumawe City Reservoir is a popular man-made tourist destination for residents of Lhokseumawe City and the surrounding area. The reservoir functions as a flood control system, collecting and regulating water flow from the city center before discharging it into the river. Over time, the reservoir has become a popular tourist destination for locals to relax and watch the sunset. The area around the reservoir also serves as a source of income for locals, offering a variety of drinks and food. Several cafes are available along the road leading to the reservoir.

What story or feeling do you think this place expresses through your photographs?

Several trees along the edge of the reservoir add to the beauty of this spot and provide shade. During the day, the trees provide shelter for visitors. I also saw many birds nearby and occasionally spotted small fish beneath the clear water. However, I couldn't share the view of the reservoir in the afternoon because I couldn't wait for that moment. Perhaps another time, I'll share the sunset view from this reservoir.
