Where is this street or place located?

This location is situated in the Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. This is the Akwanga roundabout, which connects to other major places in the town. The place was newly renovated and designed by the state government to make it easier and safer for the passage of vehicles, motorcyclists, etc. It is the roundabout that connects Jos Road, Makurdi, Wamba, Lafia, and the Keffi-Abuja.

People passing through

The double-lane road which as you approach the place you will have to either make a U-turn before entering the direction that you are going, which is the reason why it is called a roundabout.

How does this place reflect the culture or lifestyle of your area?

This place reflects the everyday lifestyle of my area through the constant movement of people, vehicles, and motorcycles on the road. In my area, motorcycles are the most common means of transportation because they are fast, affordable, and can easily move through busy streets.

The open roadside activities and visible buildings show that the community is active and hardworking which reflects how people depend on local transportation and trade to carry out their daily activities.

What story or feeling do you think this place expresses through your photographs?

My photography expresses a feeling of movement, freedom, and daily survival. As you can see the riders on motorcycles tell a story of people going about their normal routines traveling to places, work, visiting the market, and transporting passengers.

The wide road and sunlight create a calm but energetic atmosphere, showing both the busyness and simplicity of life in my community. In summary, the photographs capture the spirit of an ordinary day and the connection between people and their environment.
