SC-S29/W5 – Nostalgia Of The Little Me: A Place Filled With Childhood Memories
Dear Steemit friends, best wishes for your success wherever you are...

Before continuing with the challenge “https://steemit.com/story-on-steem/@sohanurrahman/sc-s29-w5-nostalgia-of-the-little-me-a-place-filled-with-childhood-memories,” I invite @walictd, @lirvic, and @vivigibelis to participate in this very interesting challenge.

What is your most favorite place from childhood?
---
My favorite place when I was little was the rice field in front of my house. This rice field was not large, but it was a place we could never forget. It was closely related to our activities when we were children, and we could never forget it as a place where we often played together.
Where was this place located and why was it special to you?
---
This place is located in my hometown, or more precisely in Lorong Bahagia, Linggang Jaya Timur hamlet, Uteun Geulinggang village, Dewantara subdistrict, North Aceh Regency, Aceh Province. This rice field is located right next to my house. We use this field when there are no rice plants and the field is dry. This place is the one we remember most, as it is where we gathered with our friends, both boys and girls, to spend time in the afternoons. Additionally, this rice field area is located in the middle of a residential area with many children my age at the time. Some even came from other alleys to play in the rice field in the alley with the most children in our village, especially boys. However, girls also played with us.
What kind of activities or memories are connected to this place?
---

When the rice fields were dry, we often played kite flying. Playing kites in the rice fields was a lot of fun. Especially with both boys and girls playing together. There were no differences or divisions between us. Playing together to pass the time made us feel happy. Especially when our kites broke, the boys would chase after the broken kites, while the girls would wait where we gathered and were not encouraged to chase after the broken kites.

In addition to flying kites, we also played soccer. This game was very popular among the boys in the village where we lived. However, we invited any girls who were brave enough to play with us. Those who didn't want to play just watched from the edge of the rice fields. The soccer field was a large rice field, about half the size of a regular soccer field. As for the goalposts, we used bamboo that we cut and prepared together. Of course, this is something we will never forget, doing it together with our friends who were the same age as us. At least our togetherness lasted until we parted ways to continue our education in other cities. There is even a memory that we cannot forget, when we fell while chasing the ball. We would sometimes laugh when this happened, not to mention when we lost. This meant we had to take off our shirts, especially the boys, while the girls were not allowed to take off their clothes. There were no restrictions that prevented us from playing together.
Who was usually with you there, and which memory from this place is the most precious to you?and what deeper meaning does it carry in your life today?
---
Here, we usually spend time together with our friends, both those who live in the same alley and those who come from other alleys not too far from where we hang out. They are also our schoolmates, who are in the same class as us, because our school is located in the same town of Kruenggeukueh. So after school, we would spend time together playing kites or soccer. Of course, the spirit of togetherness is something we cannot easily forget. There is another thing that we will never forget, when the kite string broke and we had to chase after it. We even had to climb trees to retrieve our kites that were stuck. However, when we managed to retrieve the kite, it was damaged, so we couldn't continue flying it and could only watch our other friends flying their kites.
Meanwhile, when playing soccer, it was when the ball burst, because the ball we played with was a plastic ball. We bought this ball ourselves by saving up our pocket money. The pocket money we set aside when we went to school. And this is what made the camaraderie and memories something we will not easily forget.
How does this place still influence your emotions or life today?
---
Currently, the place we often used as a playground has been transformed into a construction site. It has been filled in to build residential houses. Of course, this is now just a memory. There is only a small area of rice fields that has not been filled in, but it is never dry anymore. I can only look at it, especially since I no longer live there since we started working elsewhere. Additionally, the place where I used to live now belongs to my nephew. We handed it over to him since we moved to another village. Especially considering the work I do.
At least we still have memories of the rice fields in front of our house when we were children. The place where we played and spent time together when we gathered in the afternoon. So, in this place, especially in the afternoon, was when we did activities together by playing together.
Thank you to all my Steemit friends who have stopped by my post. Greetings, @muzack1
Greetings,
Thank you so much for participating in the contest.
You beautifully presented your favorite childhood place, the rice field, through your post.
You clearly described the location, the time spent with friends, and the playful memories, which were truly nostalgic moments. The experiences of flying kites and playing football were also golden memories.
Even though the place has changed now, the memories still remain fresh and unforgettable.
