You have given a wonderful description of childhood games. I never played the shoe thief game myself, but after reading your explanation, it sounds really fun. I must appreciate you for being clever and skilled at running.

I do have a question, though. Was there any point system in this game, or how many shoes were usually used while playing? Also, was there any kind of punishment for the losing team?
