"Video Contest Week- 02" | Litchi Flower and A Fly

Today I would like to share a few moments about the blossoms of our Litchi trees. In our garden, we have two litchi trees. Among them, one tree has grown quite large while the other one is still relatively small, even though both trees were planted on the same day.

Actually, the difference happened because of the location where the trees were planted. The smaller tree was planted in a shaded place where it does not receive enough sunlight. On the other hand, the bigger tree gets plenty of sunlight throughout the day. Because of this, the larger tree has grown much better. Alhamdulillah, just like last year, this year the bigger tree has also produced many blossoms.

Although the tree has many flowers this season, it is still difficult to say whether the flowers will turn into fruits or not. Usually, when litchi trees start flowering, farmers sometimes spray certain solutions to help the flowers survive and develop into fruits. However, even without spraying, the tree can still produce litchis naturally.

The flowers themselves look very beautiful. They are quite small, and at first I thought it would be difficult to capture them clearly with my camera. But fortunately, my camera managed to focus on the flowers quite well, and the photos turned out nicely.

While observing the flowers, I also noticed some small insects around them. Sometimes they were sitting on the flowers and sometimes on the leaves. I even recorded a short video of the insects along with the blossoms, although I am not sure what kind of insects they are.

I really hope that these blossoms will turn into delicious litchis this year. I do not yet know how sweet the fruits from this tree will taste. If the tree produces litchis, I will definitely taste them and share my experience with you later.
