Today, I will write about a brick production facility near our area and pin it on the Steam Atlas map. I hope everyone will like it.

What type of service location did you visit? Briefly describe it.

Brick is a material used for building our houses, colleges, courts, and many other structures. This has been prevalent for ages. Today I have come to a place called Doleshwar near my area, this place is quiet because it has a rural environment.

The name of this brick is Babul. A brick production place means a spacious and busy place where the entire process from raw clay to finished bricks is completed step by step. And this is not just a factory, but a center for the livelihood of a hardworking person, so I came here to visit and see how these hardworking people make bricks from clay.

This brick is now temporarily closed, but due to the climate change in our country, each brick is closed for 6 months after being produced. Here you can see rows of completed bricks where bricks are made and prepared in a separate place. And there is a huge open space where bricks are made from clay and kept in rows for drying and are taken out before sunset and arranged.

There is a burning stove for the old bricks where all the bricks are burnt and their color is red and there is a very tall chimney for the smoke to come out from where the black and white smoke can be easily taken out.

There are also numerous bricks here whose selling price is 13 taka per piece. This is a place where there is a workplace opportunity for thousands of people. It is usually open from 7 am to 5 pm and is open 7 days a week.

Operational history & Location (Steem Atlas pin)

The place is located in a place called Dhaleshwar of Keraniganj police station, so there is an easy way to get here and since there is a good road to go, brick trucks can easily go inside and brick trucks are loaded there and sold there overnight. I will pin up the location of this place on our Steem Atlas map. It will show everything about this place and anyone who sees it will be able to easily get bricks from here.

Type of work & Workers’ lifestyle.

They earn very little money, but the workers are seen doing this work together as a family, as they are the poorest of the poor and they work in the fields, ignoring the sun, rain, and storms.

The nature of their work is different, some differences in work are shown below

  • They carry soil
  • They soften the soil well with their feet.
  • They make bricks with brick dies.
  • The bricks are put in the oven to burn.
  • When the burnt bricks cool down, they are arranged.

Separate people are kept for all types of work.

The life of the workers is very simple, they work here and since they are next to the field, the place is divided. They have separate houses for them to stay and the owner installs a tap for them to drink safe water. They work and eat here day after day.

Environmental impact & (With pictures + videos)

The sun is very hot here because there is no shade anywhere around. These things are made in the sun, so it is quite difficult to do this work, but if you buy bricks from other places, you can get them at a very low price. I made a video of this place walking in the sun beautifully. I took pictures from different places.
