❄️ Snow, Silence & A Little Lesson I Learned

Honestly, I wasn’t even planning to write about snow today.
But when I looked at the mountains near my area this morning, covered with soft white snow, something just felt different. The air was cold, but peaceful. The kind of cold that makes you breathe slowly.

A few days ago, I came across this simple explanation about why snow appears white. Before that, I never really thought about it. I just accepted that snow is white — that’s it.
But when I read that snow reflects and scatters all colors of light equally, and that’s why we see white… I paused for a second.
It made me think.
Sometimes things look simple on the outside, but inside they carry something much deeper.

This is my area. These mountains are not something extraordinary for the world, but for me, they are home.
When it snows here, everything becomes quiet. Roads slow down. People stay inside. Tea tastes better. Even small worries feel less loud.
I remember as a child, whenever it snowed, we would run outside without jackets properly zipped. We didn’t care about cold hands. We only cared about throwing the first snowball. Now things are different. I stand and watch more than I run.
But one thing hasn’t changed — that strange happiness when everything turns white.
Snow taught me something small but meaningful:
It reflects all colors, yet looks calm and white.
Maybe that’s how we should be too.
We go through many emotions, many colors of life — stress, happiness, fear, hope — but if we balance them well, maybe we can appear peaceful from the outside.
I don’t know… maybe I’m thinking too much today.
But looking at these mountains, I felt grateful. Not for something big. Just for this view. For this quiet morning. For being here.
And honestly, sometimes that is enough.
