The Diary Game - December 28, 2025 - A Day Close to Nature: Farm Visits, Fresh Harvest, and Sunset Views
Assalamu Alaikum I hope everyone is well if you are enjoying your life today is a very special day for me because today I will visit all the farms that are closest to us and from there I will bring different things so for that first of all I woke up in the morning had breakfast and chatted a little with my family as soon as the weather got better it was foggy so as soon as the sun came out I reached my nearest garden.

Picking Turnips / Cover
There is a beautiful garden on one side of our village where we get to see all kinds of vegetables, and along with that, we also get to see fruits. If we talk about vegetables, we get to see spinach, fenugreek, cabbage, peas, and similarly in Tende Saat, green chillies, tomatoes, turnips, radishes, all these things. If we talk about fruits, the most common fruit here is guava, depending on the season, and similarly, we also get to see peaches, pears, and mangoes.
We wanted to make mustard greens at home. Mustard greens are often cooked with great passion and taste in villages. Some other things are used to cook mustard greens, such as spinach, fenugreek, bathu, and green chillies. These are the famous things here that are added to mustard greens. So I went to this garden to buy these things.

I went to the owner of this garden, who grows vegetables here, and told him to give me two kilos of spinach, two handfuls of fenugreek, and two handfuls of batho because that was enough. I told him to give me some green chillies too, but he said that they were finished and he had already picked them. Now it is small.
As soon as I talked to the vegetable seller and he prepared all the necessary arrangements for me, I saw another owner who takes care of the guavas here. Because this is a whole garden of guavas with a lot of guavas growing in it, I should chat with him, too. If I were to talk, I would ask him the price of guavas. He told me that we pay 100 rupees per kilo, so I asked him to bring two kilos of guavas.
The guava here is very sweet because it is prepared in a very good way. All kinds of water are applied to it, and full medication is done so that this process does not spoil, and it is very delicious. So I told him to bring fresh guava for us. He picked two kilos of guava for me from there. We took all those things with us and returned home.

Because the guava has been sprayed, it is not suitable to eat it as it is. We may get some kind of disease. So as soon as I brought the guava home, I put it in open water so that it would be washed properly. After washing it, I took it out in a separate container. Because the guavas we bring from the market are already washed. I had brought this one fresh, so it was necessary to wash it so that all the chemicals that are sprayed on it would come off, and they would not harm us.

In the evening, my father and I went to another field where buffalo fodder is grown. The fodder for buffalo is called mustard. We eat the same greens that are found on the mustard plant. We have to pick the top of it, which is the stalk. We cook and eat the leaves, which are called mustard greens. Then my father and I went to the field to pick them.
In the picture below, I am showing how we have to break the gandal. This is the gandal that we have to break from the top, not from the bottom, because the plant that is below is ripe. We want the raw gandal from the top, so we started breaking it from the top and started collecting it with us.

Because we have to cook this about once or twice a year, we need a large quantity of it, so we took a cloth at once and collected the mustard greens we were picking in our arms. As soon as the arms were full, it became quite large, so we spread a cloth on top of it and collected it so that we would not have to worry about it again and again. We used to collect all the mustard greens in one place.

When our stipulated quantity was complete, we collected it in a cloth. After that, I also picked some turnips from here because they were also growing. Fresh turnips can be eaten raw or cooked; they have the best taste, so we also took fresh turnips from here with us.
In any field, turnips are grown on the edge of the field, or the seeds are scattered in the field itself, so that wherever there are seeds, they grow on their own. Mostly, they are planted on one side so that it is easy to see because we have to pick only the ones that grow big.

When we had gathered all these things, we were worried that it had become too much and it would be difficult to carry, so we sat there and decided that we would remove the extra leaves and put them here. Just like a turnip has quite large leaves at the back and a small turnip in front, we separated the turnip and put the leaves there. Similarly, we need the main ingredients of the mustard greens that we had picked.
The main thing about mustard greens is that the extra side leaves have to be removed. We only need the top leaf and the bottom stalk. So we grabbed it individually and removed the side leaves in the same way so that it becomes a small parcel and is easy to carry.

It was evening time and the sun was setting. There were light clouds in the sky, which provided a very beautiful view. These are the views of nature. We are going to pick the mustard greens that nature has given us, and along with that, we also get to see a beautiful view of nature.
This farm was located on the banks of the canal, and the sun was setting there. There was a peaceful atmosphere, birds were chirping, a light cool breeze was blowing, and the weather was very pleasant. The sunset provided us with a very nice view.

Thus, today we dedicated our day to the fields where we went and brought home all the things that needed to be cooked. Today, we dedicated our day to preparing mustard greens. I hope you all enjoyed all these things. You must have been happy to see the green fields. Thank you all for stopping by.
Thank You
