The choices you made based on your needs are best for them. I like it that the reason to move is not basically the luxury or comfort but academics and career.
Recently, a lot of people from my extended circle has moved to Germany because of it’s economy and other features.
All the best to you and May you move to your desired place soon.
Priority should come from what empowers you and things you may likely pass on to the next generation. That's basically how my choice sprouted. Thanks for your time.
