The Joy of Togetherness

To me, The Joy of Togetherness is those moments that make us laugh, make us cry, touch our hearts and leave us forever without being able to forget. These moments of togetherness inspire us to keep moving forward at every point in life, at every relationship.

	With Friends

Unforgettable days i have spent with friends. During those university days we would gather in the afternoon, drink tea in a roadside stall, and chat up stories. It was either someone’s love story or someone else’s struggles or random silly debates, but everything was magical. Often we would choose to always go on trips together without any planned.

It’s not just being happy together, it’s of being a support for one another. One time I was so nervous for a practical exam I was freaking out and my bestie stayed up late with me until I got over my fear. That proved to me that you need friends by your side in life.

Brothers	Nieces

I feel nostalgic for my parents home when I think about them. When I remember Eid mornings I still smile. We all dressed in new clothes and took pictures of each others. There was always a lot of fun and teasing before the pictures. I can still remember my brother and me fighting as kids, or me secretly playing indoor games with my sister.

I have nephews and nieces that are the life of our home. Time flies when you see them laugh and run around and get up to mischief. We sit together under a blanket and tell stories in winter. I also love to hide their favourite toys and chocolates and watch wherever they glow as they find them. Life becomes beautiful with these little moments.

My biggest blessing is my husband. He makes every moment a special story. The moment I recall is when we got stuck in the rain at Dhanmondi Lake. We were wet by rain but we enjoyed it so much, neither of us had an umbrella. I still smile thinking about that day.

With him I learn something new every day. These small moments give me the most joy whether we’re sitting on the roof, looking at the stars, trying new foods at a restaurant or watching a movie at home. Every day his love helps me discover myself.

My New Family

The first person I think of when I think of my in laws is my mother in law. She loves me like her own daughter. When I have any problems talking to her makes things feel better. My husband even now loves some of these new recipes she’s taught me.

We eat together as a family in the night -with my father in the law, my mother in the law, husband and myself. We like to share stories and be in each other’s company. I don’t have a sister in law and my brother in law studies abroad but when he comes, my home is filled with joy. My in laws felt like my own family in these moments. Learning these relationships taught me what love, and connection is all about.

In life we never lose the joy of togetherness and love of people around us. They all make my days brighter. These are the most precious moments of life.
