Hello My Steemain Friends ,
How are you. I hope you people of steemian are good and enjoy your life . Well I am well. May God bless you all. Today I am writing about an interesting topic is "I had a minor accident in the kitchen.." So, in this post I am going to share my point of view about this topic. I am going to share with you.
Yesterday, I had a minor accident in my kitchen. I was making sago fritters for our evening snack; I had already placed them into the hot oil in the wok and was stirring them with a spoon. Suddenly, one of the fritters burst right there in the hot oil, and the scalding oil from it splashed out, landing all over my face.
I screamed loudly and rushed to wash my face. My younger son was at home at the time; he quickly retrieved some ice, handed me a few cubes, and I began applying them to my face. Since my face was burning and my hands had also been splattered with oil—causing a stinging sensation throughout them—I continued applying ice to my face while my son applied it to my hands.
However, I wasn't finding any relief. So, he filled a large plastic tub with water, added a generous amount of ice to it, and I sat down and dipped my face slightly into it, hoping to find some respite from the burning sensation. Then, I gently wiped my face with a soft cotton cloth and applied Colgate toothpaste to it. I did this because the burn ointment I had on hand was nearly depleted; I needed a larger quantity of medication at that moment, so I applied the toothpaste as a first-aid measure.
While I was applying it to my face and hands, my son left to go buy some proper burn medication. He also called my husband, and shortly thereafter, he returned and applied the actual medication to my face and hands. The burning sensation was excruciating, yet I held back my tears, telling myself that if I cried, my child would panic. My elder son, who was away at his coaching classes, found out what had happened and called to ask what was wrong. My husband also video-called me and asked, "How are you feeling now? Let's go see a doctor."
I replied, "No, ever since I applied the medication, the burning has stopped, and there is no pain; however, since it is an injury, I am still feeling some discomfort." Calls started pouring in from my maternal home as everyone learned of the incident; my sister-in-law even began to weep upon seeing my condition. There is a distinct mark directly beneath my eyes—I was incredibly lucky that my eyes themselves were spared—but my face has been left with quite a few marks. My only prayer to God is that this heals quickly. Because whenever I look at my face in the mirror, I just don't feel good about it. I know it will heal—it will take some time—but this feels like such an unnecessary trouble that has befallen me while I was just sitting around.
Thankyou 🙏

Oh so sorry ma'am for this accident. Unforseen circumstances just comes up anytime without notice, and this is not the first time you are preparing this dish. I hope your medication is working faster than expected and all thanks to your son who was able to help out at that moment. I wish you a quick recovery!
When next you witness any burn accident, my advice is to break raw egg and apply on the burn immediately. That will subside the pulse from forming.
Thankyou so much my dear friend for your precious advice and your kind words ❤️💖
I was deeply saddened to hear about your accident. Indeed, managing a kitchen is a very difficult and hazardous task for women; therefore, constant caution is essential. Although this incident may seem minor, it is quite alarming. Nevertheless, I wish you a speedy recovery. I hope you will be more careful in the future.
