The Diary Game || 19-03-24 || Mission Impossible weeding 3 plots of farmland and Coaching 4 newbies

My last experience in the farm was a terrible experience that I resolved not to have anything to do in the farm. It took me almost a week to recover from body pains. It was another unplanned Tuesday morning. I had planned my day the previous day but something unexpected happened that changed my life positively and negatively. An impossible mission between my dad and I. I'll relate the experience for you.

Morning Activities

Jephthah wake up; I was tapped. I was just too weak to get up because it was not up to an hour I paid my head due to this network issue restricting me from doing a lot of things in time. I slept around 4:30Am and was disturbed by past 5Am. I'm used to that lifestyle no doubt. I woke up and all I heard was that I would be accompanying my dad to the farm.

I was seriously disheartened but if I don't go, how will we invest in food? I then reluctantly prepared to follow him. I know what I endured last time but withstanding that, I was happy I'll be getting pictures for diary game. We considered the scripture as a family which emphasized on the importance of Jesus' death for humans. He paid his life as a ransom to free is from sin and death so we can have that lost possibility of living forever on the earth once more.

In essence, because of his ransom sacrifice, we gained life through him, reasons why we should be grateful for such undeserved kindness towards us. After prayerful going through the scriptures, my dad and I set out. Weeding is my favourite work in the farm so I didn't have to shiver in fear that I would experience hardship the way I did the other day.

I got my kits ready so I'll not be found wanting. I got a food flask filled with food that I'll eat after work in the farm as I dislike eating before working. We were to use a bike down there since the distance to the farm was quite far a place.

On our way, we got to a fuel station to purchase kerosene that would be used in burning debris in the farmlands, clearing it for planting. I was so shocked with the price of kerosene. Kerosene that was #250 naira per litre is now 1k. It was then I believed that things are really going from bad to worse. Gas is more economical than kerosene in terms of cooking and price.

On getting to my village as the farm is situated there, I was just observant. My mind took me to the contest held in healthy steem community* about environment. I seized that opportunity to capture all the visible and attractive areas there. This is the name of my local government and village. This local government and village is one of the widely known local government in my state.

The government even entered this village and recreated it making the village a valuable asset for visitors in terms of land purchase. Barely did anyone came to purchase lands when it was untarred but with the new development, they troop in like soldiers. One thing that marvelled me was the trees and fresh air I breath there. The environment looks so peaceful and calm and you barely see pollution in the air or land. It's as if they know cleanliness more than we do.

This is where my dad grew up so anyone he saw, he would stop by and greet them. Not just that, he would introduce me to them and they'll say I resemble his brothers more than him in person. It was hilarious no doubt. On getting to the compound we were to collect our farm tools, I took pictures of the natural scenes I saw there. Everything looks so fresh and green.

In the city, a banana can't grow up to this level and be allowed to stand and eaten by the owners. Outsiders will do the job at night. So the village is quite safe. I also took pictures of the cat and borehole I saw in the environment. In every land we passed, we would see people working. These villagers are seriously not lazy people. The sun brought up a signal that it won't be high

Land now is an investment that one should hold and cherish as things are so high that many find it difficult to feed. On getting to the farmlands of which we to do the wedding, I took pictures of myself and my tools. The way I held this tool was such that people would recognise that I came for farming and nothing unserious. I took pictures of my tools and body aids.

I also took pictures of these food in a picnic setting to show that after the reggae plays the blues. This is one of the plots of land that we were to weed and these weeds were stubborn weeds. Before embarking on this work with my dad and I alone which looks like an impossible mission, he told me how he had problem with this land.

One rich investor wanted purchasing all the lands in that ecosystem but he refused to sell the land saying that's the only bland he has left and can't sell it. **The rich investor left no doubt and from what I heard, he bought about 70 plots of land in the village of which the range was from **100k-120k. I shouted. How could lands be so cheap here and not just ordinary lands oh, big hectares of land?

The man was just so lucky a person and we saw his family and he in person planting the lands he accumulated. The man is just so wise in this herd time. It was now time to start weeding. As something I love doing, I did it perfectly without getting tired. I've been used to weeding since childhood.

How did I weed? Most of us here don't know how to weed because we've never been to a farm before. To weed, you must face the grass or weed and not back them. This is to prevent weeding and accumulating them in fresh weeds. Standing in front of the grass or weed will help you weed and place it in the area you've already you've already worked on and that's exactly what I did. When I put my hoe in the soil and drag the weeds to myself, I'll shake off the sand from the weeds and keep it scattered in an empty space so it would dry and die. That's how I was able to speed up the weeding. I even challenged my father in the work and he accepted defeat 😁.

Finally, we succeeded in weeding one of the farmlands so we entered the second plot but before that I took to capturing the first plot before and after. It was seeming impossible and time was damn fast. Just two of us. I began looking at how big the farmland is and what we have done so far.

My dad thought of creating holes for cassava but I convinced him to do so another day as I was already tired. I can never be in the farmland without my phone which proved to be a strong motivational factor to me as my music gave me lot of strength.

Before embarking on the next impossible mission, I took to feeding my stomach first because I was feeling pains in my abdomen. This is what I brought to the farm. It was as if I wanted throwing a feast. Last experience taught me a lot.

Knowing what I had ahead of me and my dad's strong will in staying in the farm till he has accomplished his mission made me eat in moderation so I'll still have that strength to strive on. After eating, I was feeling so weak already with the small I took in. I then paid down a bit to feel nature.

After resting for a while, I took up the impossible mission again. This time, I put in more effort that before because I had an appointment with people by 4Pm and it was already 12Pm. What I was so grateful for was the fact that the sun was mild if not, we wouldn't have completed the first plot. Tired was my name. It was passed 2pm and were halfway done with the second plot.

My dad told me to round it off while he burned the debris. I told him I won't be able to do such big area myself and that we should keep it for another day before I die and leave the farmland. He accepted for the first time.

How relieved I was not knowing there was another impossible mission elsewhere! I was just so happy that I took pictures of myself. The thought of being in the house was just my happiness. I then seized that opportunity to capture some living things in the farm while my dad did other things. These are my captures.

He then burnt the leaves and grasses that were dried which contributed to air pollution. I captured every bit of it so I would use it for the engagement challenge on environment and our health.

After burning, we took to leaving the farmland for the one we cleared the other day to set it up ablaze. I thought it was as easy and just putting fire and kerosene bot until I was told to gather all these leaves in the center so that it won't burn and enter another person's farm. It wasn't an easy job but I accomplished it. This mission although impossible was possible at the end.

While the farmland was on fire, I noticed an a natural phenomenon which I've never seen before. The hawks and ravens all came close to the fire and was circling round it. In my mind I thought they were trying to receive warmth from the heat bit thought of doing further research on why birds hover round when there's a big body of fire.

	It was time to say goodbye to the village that was named UK meaning United Kingdom.

I got home feeling so weak but I had to create contents and coach my newbies. It wasn't that easy though. I had to discipline myself to do this even though sleep tormented me last night. I created about 2 contents and **mentored four users on this platform in terms of their achievement tasks. These users are;

When I was done with what I was doing although vi had a lot of unread messages, I retired to bed till dawn.
