Which language are you proud of and why?
I am extremely proud of my language which is " IGBO" because it is the native language I grow up with and it informs me of my cultural practices and customs I hold so dear speaking Igbo language will remind me the spirit of my ethnicity to wherever I might be and I like that there’s a lot of tones and emotions expressed through it which makes the conversations musical.
So speaking of Igbo language is not just about using proverbs that contain great knowledge or giving vowels tones to make the words alive, it is a lifestyle and it is a pleasure to pass on the knowledge and apply it to protect it and make sure it stays around for as long as possible.
Can u tell the history's of the language you are proud of and how it became a language and became common among the people?
IGBO language is among the three dominant languages in Nigeria, spoken by the Igbos of southeastern part of Nigeria and it dates back to few thousand years, because its basic features are the part of the Igbo culture. Igbo developed from the proto-Niger-Congo language families, which was proving to be one of the biggest language families in the hole of Africa.
Traditionally, the Igbo language is traditionally an oral language, which is used and transmitted from one generation to another through follorestory telling proverbs and songs and it became more standardized in the century of the writing system with the help of the missionaries and the linguists who translated the Bibles, for example, on Igbo. At present, it serves a very active platform for writing, reading, arts, and other aspects of human life.
How to avoid miscommunication in language and how to create effective communication?
To ensure effective communication do not use ambiguous language, listen carefully to what the other person is saying, make sure that you clear your doubts and mind your language, and tone in addition to body language.
When it comes to implementing successful communication, however, you need to concentrate on the following: your goal, feedback, medium, and empathy. Employ specific objects or concepts in the lesson to explain the concepts and keep a polite and unhurried interpersonal communication.
