At the station, waiting for our train

Train Selfies

Since we were in Maharashtra and our train back to Ahmedabad was at 23:55, we decided to spend the day in Mumbai and do some shopping at a very famous market (Linking road) in Bandra. We had a very adventurous day and did not miss out on anything that we had planned. We reached CST station at 11:55 a.m. From there we had planned to go to Bandra by local train and we were going to keep our luggage at my cousin’s uncle’s house which was just near the station.

So from the station we first visited Mount Mary Church. The church is located on the top of a hillock which is near Lands End Bandra. Thousands of people and devotees visit the church, especially on the annual feast on 8th September. When we came out of the church we even had some momos to eat. They were very tasty and spicy.

Then later on we went to the Linking Road to do some shopping. We walked around a lot and visited many shops to see what all we can get. I bought some T-shirts, a purse and a pair of sandals. We spent quite some time in the market. We then even stopped to have some fruit juice as we were a bit tired of walking around. From there I had a plan to meet my friend who lives in Mumbai. He was going to meet us at Novotel Juhu. So after drinking the juice we decided to leave from there. We took a rickshaw and reached Juhu beach. My friend would not get free for a while so since we reached the beach early, we wanted to try some water sports.

There was a lot of crowd on the beach that day, and one of the speed boat operators approached us and was insisting us that we should take a ride on the boat. When we looked at the people already on the ride it seemed a bit scary. But the operator used words like “Darr ke aage Jeet hai” 😂 and compelled us to try it. So we agreed to do it and said let’s not get scared let’s just go with the flow. As soon as we sat on the boat, we felt it was not scary at all. In fact we didn’t even get to know when it started and when it ended 😂. We thought to ourselves what a joke! But anyway we did for the experience and nonetheless it was fun anyways.

After the ride was over, we then spent some time on the beach near the shore and watched the waves move. I was waiting for my friend to come so I was walking on the beach enjoying the water. After some time my friend finally came. He was afraid to get drenched so I came a little far from the water and we sat at a small restaurant by the beach where we sat to eat something. We ordered some tasty shake and pav bhaji which was also yummy. Later on my cousin and his friend also joined us and then we had our dinner there itself. After having our dinner, I bid my friend good bye and then we headed to the station so that we wouldn’t miss our train.
