ARE THERE STILL PEOPLE OF INTEGRITY?

Hello Steemians, I am so happy this morning to express the inexhaustible joy in my heart ❤ ️. I must say that my soul has found peace to an extent in the school where I am a teacher and a chaplain.

According to Merriam Webster, dictionary integrity is a “firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values”. It is what defines a personality in the midst of vices, compromise, and corruption.

The Envelope of Money i forgot at School on Monday

It is rampant how people's integrity is questioned more than the times many are praised for their distinctive character and integrity. The question of integrity is not in words but by action. When you are alone can you be trusted? If money or any illegal chance happens to you, how will you be fair?

If you are given public funds at your own discretion to disburse to others, how will you do it? Can you even trust yourself that you have a firm decision not to yield to temptations, or are you amongst others who don't care about the outcome of their actions?

From my experience today, I will say yes. In the school where I am a teacher and oversee the spirit aspect of the school, four days ago, call it Monday, I left an envelope with money which I thought was in my school back. Since the money was not for immediate use, I completely forgot about it.

Today, being Thursday, I returned to the school for my duties. After the school solemn assembly, I retired to my office, and I found my drawer opened as I left it and the money intact.

If no one else has seen the money the cleaners had seen and others who might have used the office. Upon seeing this money 💰 the first statement that came to mind was “so we still have people of integrity in Nigeria even with this hard economy?

**NOTE THIS** Life may be tough, but your integrity should not be sold. That's you that makes you who you're. Once your integrity is gone, you're morally gone.

What I did was to appreciate the cleaner with a little amount to cater for her transportation for the week.

Finally, if you have integrity, you will not doubt that people of integrity truly exist with you. Think about it.
