Cross Section of Members and Presbyters

It is one thing to work with your boss and another to sacrifice and render the required services without complaining. Beautiful Steemians, my storyline today is on serving sacrificially.

When I hear how people backstab their masters or bosses I ask myself the place of loyalty and sacrificial services. I am someone who believes that every person i work under is an opportunity to learn and grow by being humble enough follow them foolishly and ensuring my work with them does not give them headache.

How do you feel when your boss is complaining about you or how do you feel when people negatively talk about their superiors? I will leave the answer for you and I expect to read your comment.

Breakfast

I got a call from my boss while I was fetching some water to be ready on or before 10am for me to join him to a meeting and prayer in the church office. I quickly rounded up the money i paid for the water. When I fetched the last round, went to buy something for breakfast from a nearby shop and my wife without made me tea for breakfast and I left the house about 9:12am I was in the office already for the prayer and meeting at Presbyterian Avenue off Idoro Road, Uyo.

The prayer lasted for about w hours, from 10:05am to 12 noon. I then waited for him to have a meeting that took the time to 1:38pm. As he came out, he told me that we are going to Iba Oku, Uyo local government area, Akwa Ibom State for a church reception service. A mission station that was opened years ago being handed over to The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria Uyo Parish for supervision. He drove straight to Iba Oku, while making calls for direction to the place. We actually missed our way and drove back until the pastor of the church came to the pick us. It was sunny and tiring but I didn't complain from my heart, rather we were gisting to keep us on movement. Finally, we got there. The church is small inside someone's compound. Arrangements were made by Uyo Presbytery in partnership with Uyo Parish to acquire a parcel of land for the church to leave the temporary place of worship by next year.

The reception lasted for 1 hour 36 minutes where were were entertained, a way to fuel us up for more work. We took some photos and latter we were on our way back at about 3:47pm, my boss’ wife called him to pick her sister to park. She was traveling to Aba, Abia state, so instead of him taking me back to Nwaniba Road, we had to go to the location of the wife's sister and picked her to Akwa Ibom State Transport Company (AKTC). By 4:21pm we were there and ensured that she booked and boarded the bus before we left to my house.

By 5:33pm, I was home. My boss didn't drop me half way or gave me transportation to keep moving, he drove me right to my house and saw me off with his heartfelt appreciation for my patience with him through tje busy and engaging day. He said to me:

“my dear thanks so much for today, do find time to rest and God bless you”

He ensured that have something in a back to share at home.

Later in the night, on tuning to RT News at 8pm after having my dinner, i saw an interesting headline as Donald Trump calls for Ukraine to hold presidential election and stated that Zelensky must agree with the negotiation proposals between Russia as Russia is winning and Europe is doing nothing.

For me, end the war, let the survivors have a better life. The war has taken too long, Ukraine not joining NATO, sanctions not affecting Russia yet people are dying. If Ukraine is not achieving anything from the war, then i stand with Trump for peace agreement.

As i changed the channel to sports i noticed Champions league match between Bayern Munich and Sporting Lisbon had long started with the German side leading with 3 - 1 as at 81-minute. Chelsea, Liverpool represented the premier league tonight with Chelsea losing 2-1 to Atlanta and Liverpool edged past Inter Milan with a lone goal.
