The Diary Game: [09/06/2026] Bringing The Custom Bodice Draft To Life

Good evening, guys. I hope y'all are doing great and, I welcome y'all to my little corner. Today's morning was one of those mornings that I wish I could stay back at home. It rained heavily from the early hours of the morning till 10am, I didn't stand up from the bed until it stopped. I went through my typical morning routine, got dressed and left for the shop. I arrived at the shop, arranged the shop the way it ought to be, and also cleaned the wet floor caused by the leaking ceiling, and I cleaned the raindrops on my machine. Right after, I changed the thread on my weaving machine from black to white, because it's white color fabric I'll work on.

I started off by ironing a breast pad to the lining, then I went ahead to sew the center front piece and side front piece together. There was the effect of the breast pad, the front bodice was standing firm on it's own, and that's how it would be firm on the customer's bust. This is what we call a princess dart bustier in the fashion world.

I had to cut out another set of lining for the center and side back piece. And I went ahead to do the lace placement format for them, and ironed them out to lay perfectly.

After I finished ironing them, I went ahead to sew the left center and left side piece together, I did same to the right piece for the main bodice, and I also repeated same for the lining.

When I finished with that, I ironed the main bodice and lining separately, and I continued to sew by turning the neckline with lining for the right and back piece. And there I was, sewing my brand label to the lining.

And the hour to eat came, time was far spent before I brought out my food to eat. I was looking forward to finish up the dress today.

With that complete, I joined the shoulders of the front and back piece together, and also joined the sides with the accuarte measurements in mind. After that, I went ahead to interlock the side seams with my weaving machine.

There was the fabric I'd join to the lower part of the half length bodice. With this, the gown is almost ready, there I was taking the accuarte measurement to complete the actual gown length of my customer. By the way, it's not a full gown length.

With that completed, I set it aside and cut out the sleeves. The sleeve is a balloon sleeve, moderate balloon sleeves considering the style my customer chose.

And there I was, with my tired face, waiting for the exact closing hour to clock before I lock up. Meanwhile, I had swept the floor, packed the dirt into the trash nylon, and packed the unfinished work one side incase it rains overnight, it won't be affected. Then came exact closing hour, packed everything in from outside, turned of the sockets, lock up and left for home. I had my evening walk back home, I bought two colours of tailoring chalk from my customer on my way home. I got home, greeted my family, unpacked, had my shower, went to the kitchen to wash my cooler and set it aside, then dished my food. I had swallow with egusi soup, after I empited my plate, I went to the kitchen to wash my plate and back into my room. I have a series I'm watching, I'd probably watch just one episode before I call it a night.
