Avocado little perfection window

in Hindwhale Community23 hours ago

When I buy avocados, it is impossible to tell which avocados will be ready to eat because it by nature when it ripens, it spoils so quickly. It's exciting to get an avocado that is perfectly ripe and easy to eat. But that excitement is mixed with fear because an avocado that is perfectly ripe is on the verge of becoming overripe, and once that happens, it's just disgusting. Because of this, I buy around three at a time and hope that at least one of them is perfectly ripe. The vendor I buy from I know I can trust her fresh fruit but it's not always that I get fresh. The coolest thing is to go directly to the farm and you see all the ones that are fresh.

There's a trick some use but I don't know how to use that, they shake the avocado to see if it's ripe, I don't see how that works but so I've been told. I use my fingers and if it's too hard or too soft I wait until it feels like the right amount of give.

Buying rotten food is one of the most frustrating feelings someone can have. I don't know why food like this cause me to feel like this, but it is very frustrating. Simply put, the anticipation of avocados is why I like them more than the other fruits I like to eat. I hate the feeling of wasted cash to the point where I buy avocados only hoping that one of them is ripe. I don't like wasting money at all. But if you let me choose an avocado and eat it's definitely something I will enjoy doing. I'm thinking the enjoyment comes from the fact that if you get it fresh you feel lucky.

I like to cut them open and put salt on them and eat them with toast. I like the taste of the mix of the toast and the avocado with the salt. I'll be going to the farm again and perhaps they'll give me some right from there, I'll prepare lunch tomorrow with them. I hope that it is a ripe one.

LI have tried to make an effort to focus on the avocados that I have been buying from the grocery store. I got one last week. Sure enough, I told myself that I would make an effort to eat my avocado while it was at the perfect ripeness. Unfortunately sometimes things do not go as people intend. I got really busy. I left the house. I came back in the evening and then I forgot to look at the avocado. I waited until the next morning to check on it and it was way too ripe to eat. I ended up eating a portion of it, but I noticed that the flavor as expected, was not the same as the flavor that I had been looking forward to eating.

I have learned this lesson now. Whenever I see an avocado, I know that I have to grab it and make sure to not let that extent happen.
