Catching Feelings

A girl said yes to meet a guy whom she had been avoiding for many weeks since the man kept asking. He worked in another country but he came back home because of everything that is happening in the Middle East. This is how she first met him, in some lounge where she was hanging out with friends some weeks ago. There she saw him walking toward her without fear, praising her. Of course, she liked that courage and said thank you and continued with what she was doing since that night was just one of many lounge nights. Then it just happened, one of the boys she was with liked one of his girls and they swapped their Instagram IDs, she also shared hers by mistake and he began following her.

At first, they did not even make a specific plan to hang out again, but they ended up in the same place. There he was having dinner with his other friend and so she just went with them. Then they went to a pool bar to have some beers, but in fact she was spending the rest of the evening talking to his buddy about work while he was enjoying himself playing and talking to others.

But then the boy started showing his kind nature. First of all, he was looking after his buddy, making sure everyone was fine. He also made sure she felt part of the conversation. The fact that the boy showed great care towards others surprised her a lot. She was still giggling and cracking jokes as usual, but somehow this time she felt something new. Suddenly she started finding this guy quite cute and was very surprised by it herself. And as soon as she understood this, she quickly went to the other part of the bar where some people were having fun playing FIFA.

Then he came up to her and said that he was happy she had not seen him lose the pool game just now. He added that he normally did not lose such games, but this day he was very distracted, probably said this to crack a joke, yet, he was able to make her smile.

Afterwards they spent the rest of the night together. The three of them chatted, did some karaoke and just enjoyed themselves. She needed to go home since she had to get up early in the morning for work. Before leaving, the guy hugged her and touched her cheeks telling her that he would see her again tomorrow and asked what she thought about it. And of course, she answered yes in a romantic way.

And this is how she started having feelings for someone who she was earlier avoiding meeting. These feelings are very strong now, but she knows for sure he does not feel the same way. Now she sits quietly and writes it all down.
