Bassano del grappa - Vicenza - Italy
Hello friends of this community! I think I have never shared a post here, but I found this contest and the initiative by this community to encourage the production of these posts linked to the Steem Atlas map very interesting, also because I have argued several times that this is very useful for travelers and for people who want to discover new places. Today in particular I would like to talk to you about Bassano del Grappa, a beautiful medieval city located in the province of Vicenza, certainly rich in history, art and traditions, a place that is worth discovering because it is quite unique in Italy. There are several tourist attractions that in my opinion are worth visiting if you are in Bassano del Grappa, the most famous and in my opinion the first to visit is Ponte Vecchio also called Ponte degli Alpini, a beautiful bridge designed by the famous architect Andrea Palladio and basically it is a covered wooden bridge that has become the symbol of the city. This bridge offers the possibility of a very particular view of the Brenta river which is the river that passes through the City of Bassano but also delegates the history of the Alpini which is this brave fighting body that became famous during the great war that took place right near this city. Among other things, right there nearby there is the Alpini museum where you can find memorabilia or even other things regarding this brave body of the Italian army. So after having taken a nice walk in the central area of Bassano del Grappa, and having crossed this important bridge, the possibility of taking a walk along the Brenta river, where you find very rustic paths and wooded areas and right there wooden sculptures have been placed precisely to further enrich and make this area of Bassano del Grappa even more beautiful. There is a path that winds for about two kilometers, where you will be in direct contact with nature, certainly a place to relax but at the same time take a beautiful walk that is always good for our body. Bassano del Grappa has a history that starts from the 9th century BC and was a great Roman outpost But then it was under the control of the Republic of Venice which became a very flourishing city with trade, That's why walking through the streets of this city you can notice monuments from all eras and the advice is to visit the civic museum which is very important as a museum but also very beautiful to visit. I hope this post about this important city of Veneto has been interesting, see you next time and I always hope to share the interesting points in this map.
